Efficiency Code
The State of Florida requires energy calculations, and heat
loads for permitting all newly constructed commercial buildings, homes,
additions and renovations. Many of the plan
review offices in Florida also require an air conditioning
design and a plumbing drain layout on all new residences when
applying for a building permit. Air conditioning designs are
also a great tool for receiving competitive bids from the
mechanical contractors and to ensure a proper cooling and
heating system for the new home.
